Lunar (and solar) eclipses were both recorded and calculated as evidenced by documents like the Dresden Codex. They were generally seen as challenging times where the sun and the moon were fighting. As humans, we have been blessed with the amazing gifts of our brains and our minds. We can use them to achieve incredible feats and to advance our lives, and those of our families and communities. We can use them to solve the problems around us to make our world a better place. However, sometimes that intelligence turns against our evolution. New ways to profit from the destruction of our planet and ourselves come from the brains of some humans. This of course shows the difference between intelligence and wisdom. Our intellect can also lead us to overthink situations. It can lead us into such minute details that confusion or inaction occurs.

Today we see these qualities combined with the number which represents wholeness. This can give us the ability to think through every aspect of a situation. It suggests that we can use all aspects of our intellect and knowledge, to resolve what we need to. We can use our minds to gain inspiration, combined with the understanding of how to bring an idea to completion.

1 N'ojNew worlds need new ideas and solutions. This is very much the essence of both today and the thirteen-day period (trecena) that we move into today. It is a time of inspiration, which may come from sudden events.

Today we are starting a new trecena. However, we are still within the influential period of the Maya cross of 8 B’atz. In two days, we move into its future sign of 3 Kawok, and the next day of 4 Ajpu can represent the beginning of a new world. It was seen as the creation day, noted on Stela C at Quirigua. This re-creation brings great opportunity for reinvention and resetting, it can also bring challenges to our accepted worldview. Sometimes this may be precipitated by an event, and here No’j acts in both its aspects.

No’j is sometimes associated with earthquakes, also sometimes with lightning. Both of these are energetic events which arrive without warning. They are sudden and sometimes decisive. They might call for quick action, a swift resolution to the effects of the event. 12 N'ojThe knowledge acquired over your lifetime comes together today to solve problems. This in turn may bring new relevance to old information.

No’j, is the nawal of the brain, the problem solver is a bringer of inspiration and solutions. Every day we learn something new in general our level of experience rises as we travel our life path. Some of this is of immediate use and some of it seems irrelevant at the time, but it all seems to get filed away somewhere. Sometimes those concepts or ideas become relevant with the perspective we gain as we move further along our life path.

As we come towards the end of our journey through the Kame trecena, the time of our spiritual transformation, we might ask ourselves what we choose to transform into. What is our grand plan and how can we make it happen?

5 N'ojThis is certainly a day to put your energy into solutions.  However, rushing in to things or taking shortcuts to save effort may result in unexpected challenges.

The energy of the nawal No’j brings us ideas, thoughts and solutions to our problems. Today its combination with the number 5 necessitates putting some energy behind our ideas to bring them to fruition.

11 N'ojInformation from many different sources may bring confusion. However, if a focused train of thought can be achieved, novel solutions to issues may present themselves. Intuitive thinking may bring innovation.

Most days which carry the number 11 can be a little confusing, to say the least. The strong energy of the 11, combined with its lack of true direction, can lead to situations where you don’t know where you are, or where you are going, although you are sure you are in the right place.
