Here are the days of the Chol Q’ij mapped onto the Gregorian month of December 2025.
Astronomically, this month again brings us two meteor showers, the Geminid meteor shower on the 13th/14th and the Ursids on the 21st/22nd. The Geminids tend to be the more spectacular of the two showers, however the Ursids are not known to be an impressive display. There is a chance both showers might be visible as the new moon on the 19th should give perfect dark skies for them.
Of course, we also have solstice occurring, on the 21st at 15:03 UTC.
