A community prospers when each member is strong and healthy, and when they support each other during times of need. Every member brings their own wisdom and energy to the community, and they are valued for their contribution. When support is freely given and accepted, it benefits everyone in the community.

Change can be difficult. However, during this trecena of Kame, we may need some help to achieve our vision of transformation. Tz’ikin is the day of visions, and these visions can bring prosperity to yourself and your community. Prosperity can come in many forms, such as financial gain, greater wisdom, or understanding. Sometimes, our visions may be grand and require skills or knowledge that we don’t possess.

Your community may be looking for your advice to help them see things from a different perspective. Perhaps to help identify what they are missing in their plan. The willingness to share your vision and support each other can bring prosperity to both you and your community.

If your family is starving, you are more likely to fall off the road, perhaps into dishonesty or criminal activity. By asking nawal Tz’ikin for prosperity in your life, you are more likely to be able to help others. You can be more constructive within your community. That is not to say that your own input will not be necessary, just that your hard work will pay off.

Tz’ikin has the ability to give visions, it helps people to see the bigger picture within life. It also helps people to focus on details. It has grand aspirations and helps people to rise to the top of their abilities.

Similarly, just as Tz’ikin can focus, its broad vision can occasionally cause distraction. Sometimes, just when it is heading towards its goal it can be distracted by something “shiny.” Thus, this energy gives an ability to create great social networks, but sometimes spends too much time trying to maintain them.

The Number Ten

The number 10 is another number which demonstrates the connection between the sacred calendar and the human body. As five represents one hand, ten represents two hands coming together. This can be seen as the shaking of hands creating agreement between people. Ten is seen as a good number, a number of community and the laws of society, of acting in harmony.

3 Tz'ikinYou may need to rely on your inner vision today. The usual clarity of sight of Tz’ikin may be clouded by external circumstances and distractions.

 

Sometimes days which carry a usually fortunate nawal are modified by a number to create a less conducive energy.  Tz’ikin days are usually enjoyable. They are social, visionary and prosperous. However, today it is possible that all of those qualities are obstructed by the influence of the number three. The energy of the number three may bring doubts, instability and challenges. Its combination with the highly positive energy of the nawal Tz’ikin may cause its effect to be softened. That said, it is possible that this Tz’ikin day may not be as beneficial as other Tz’ikin days.

It could be implied that this is a challenging day on which to do business. Moreover, true prosperity may be blocked by a lack of vision or an inability to focus. Also, a bigger problem could be believing that you have a true and clear vision, only to find that it has been distorted. This could lead to make potentially costly mistakes. Consequently, it would be better to leave any important business dealings for another day.

The most positive aspect of the 3 relates to the home, and perhaps this will be a more fortunate place to focus Tz’ikin‘s visionary aspects today. This is a day to work on your inner vision for the future, possibly to meditate on what your options are to bring prosperity to your home. In fact, it is a perfect day for quietly working on your inner vision.

However, it lacks stability and can represent challenges and obstructions. The number three brings up internal/external dilemmas. The lack of stability in the physical, external world that it brings suggests that the more appropriate action is to look to the internal world, both of the home and yourself.

9 Tz'ikinYour life’s vision may come to the fore today. Are you focussed on it or distracted? If you haven’t got one, today is a good day to ask for it.

The day 9 Tz’ikin combines the fortunate and prosperous day of Tz’ikin with the number of life and the divine feminine. This, therefore,  gives the potential for a very beneficial day, especially concerning prosperity.

As the bird soars high in the sky it can see the path ahead, giving an understanding of both possible future complications and the best route to take to avoid them. This is metaphorically part of the essence of the nawal Tz’ikin. It gives us the ability to perceive the most prosperous direction in which to put our energy. This may be why of Tz’ikin days, and the people who carry this nawal, are naturally endowed with good fortune. They carry the foresight to make beneficial decisions.

Of course, an important point to note is that the prosperity mentioned here is not just a material thing. It is not about a big bank balance on a dying planet. To attain true prosperity, it is vitally important that all systems thrive – us, our families, our communities and the nature which supports it all. As the number 9 represents life itself, this could be a good day to ask for a vision which brings prosperity to all forms of life, which helps us and our environment to thrive.

The number 9 represents both life and the feminine, so perhaps today is a day to seek guidance from the women in our lives in order to bring sustainable prosperity to ourselves, our families, our community and our environment.

It is a day on which women may wish to give thanks for their gifts.

2 Tz'ikinIs a day to see and resolve duality for the prosperity of all. There are many ways that the day 2 Tz’ikin can be interpreted. Most are positive as both Tz’ikin and the energy of 2 have beneficial properties.

2 Tz’ikin is a day that brings focus to relationships. It may help to see and understand elements of self-sacrifice required within a relationship to bring prosperity. Tz’ikin has a rather light-hearted nature and gives the ability to see the bigger picture. It helps us to put our sacrifices into perspective and see the benefits they bring. In matters of business, a partnership formed today should be rather beneficial, cooperation bringing the vision into reality.

However, there are other much higher aspects associated with the nawal Tz’ikin. Tz’ikin days are indeed used for prosperity, but really what do we mean by prosperity? Of course, we could see the surface level of financial matters and Tz’ikin days are said to be good for business. However, the prosperity that the nawal Tz’ikin guides us to is on a deeper level. It brings us the visions which help our environment, families and communities to thrive, which help them to truly prosper and multiply.

Here, the combination with the energy of the 2 perhaps helps us to see both sides of the story. Both the number 2 and the nawal Tz’ikin can act as mediators, occasionally sitting on the fence, but generally able to resolve situations. It is when we can see the issues through the eyes of others that we can understand their point of view. This is not to say that we have to abandon our own causes, but by seeing the views of “the opposition” we can arrive at a resolution which brings prosperity to all.

It is said to be the number of lovers, it signifies relationships and self-sacrifice. Whilst it can lend itself to mediation, seeing both sides of the story, it also can be indecisive.

8 Tz'ikinToday the whole picture may be revealed to the world. With the 8 representing wholeness and Tz’ikin bringing the vision, it is the day when the new vision combines with the old to bring prosperity.

The energy of the days numbered 8 can be seen as an overlap, where the novelty of the energy of the number 1 combines with the energy of the ending of number 7. It is the seam between the new fabric and the old, that joins the previous weaving to the current. As such it can be seen as a combination of energies, a re-imagining of an old principle or vision, again breathing new life into an existing idea. When combined with the energy of the nawal Tz’ikin, this brings prosperity. This is a day of bringing together existing ideas with new energy to sustain those around us.

If you have a vision for a new venture, particularly a new business venture, this is a great day to seek advice from those who have taken on similar tasks before. The combination of the old and new may bring great success.

The day 8 Tz’ikin is the day on which green candles are offered to the ceremonial fires to give thanks for our prosperity and the prosperity of  our families and our communities. It is a day to give thanks for our ability to focus on fine detail, but also to see the bigger picture when required. As we give thanks for what we have, we also ask for the vision to come to us, to help those around us prosper. This is a day to give thanks for what we are perfecting, and what we cried out for.

The Number Eight

The number 8 is considered to be a number of wholeness. It can be seen as birth (1) and death (7) combined to represent the whole cycle of the soul. It can also be seen as the point where the four first men who raised the sky from the sea were joined by their wives and the world become whole. The eighth day of the trecena is the most common day for ceremonies to be made. It is still in the balanced range of numbers and is an even number, which is also considered fortunate. As this wholeness represents every aspect of the energy of the day with which it is coupled. It is the wholeness of the nawal that is addressed in ceremony.

1 Tz'ikinThis can be seen as a day of inspiration, a day that brings a new vision. The nawal of the visionary combines with the number of novelty and birth to bring an auspicious day and new trecena.

The nawal Tz’ikin is also a nawal of manifestation, and one way it does this is through the voice. The relatively low power of 1 Tz’ikin suggests that while this manifestation is possible, it needs a little encouragement. You may need a nudge to speak up for what you wish to bring into your life. Once you do so, the manifestation potential is strong.

If you are looking to start a new business venture, in particular, this is the day. However, you might find that it is not yet fully formed. Input from your friends or advisers may help to define it further. Perhaps you are guided to start something new. Perhaps today is the day on which to ask for a vision of how to proceed. Tz’ikin energy is seen as lively and sociable. Occasionally this may be too much so for its own good. Today this may be slightly muted and may be very useful. It is a perfect day to ask your associates to help you to clarify your vision. It may also be a time to bring several ideas together into one, clear unified image.

The number 1 is representative of the seed, of unity. It represents birth and beginnings. It is a low and odd number, which usually represents something challenging. However, the seed can grow into a mighty tree, it is full of potential. It needs the correct nutrients and conditions to germinate and develop its potential. We also may need encouragement to develop our ideas.

Bringing Water Stability to Families

A wonderful, highly active project to bring water stability to families is Water4Life Global. Jenna MacEwan and her team have been making a difference to peoples’ lives since 2018. They provide water filters to local families throughout Guatemala, thereby giving direct access to clean drinking water. Additionally, they are directly involved in action which helps to clean up the local sources of water. This is achieved through greywater treatment projects, reforestation and education. Konojel

Within the village of San Pablo la Laguna, there is an organisation doing great work. They are called ODIM and are specialising in medical and educational services. During the pandemic restrictions, they helped feed many people, but this is in addition to their regular, long term work there. Popol Jay

Popol Jay is an ancient name to define the House of the Council of Elders, among the Maya of Guatemala. These were places of wisdom where sacred knowledge about medicine, the calendars, music, spiritual practice and more was kept and passed to future generations. They were all burnt down during the Conquest and subsequent Colonization periods. Today, the Q’eqchi’ Maya Council of Elders Releb’aal Saq’e has joined forces with many supporters to rebuild the Popol Jay of the North, in the lowlands of the Petén region, heart of the Maya culture of the Classic Period. The Elders have worked hard to acquire land and co-design this Center of Knowledge to share ancient wisdom with the World. 7 Tz'ikinThis may be a day where you receive the final vision. This may be the final part of the puzzle which leads to prosperity for you, your family, your community and the environment.

The day 7 Tz’ikin can encompass both focus and the ability to see the bigger picture. As the bird sits atop the pyramid it has an enormous breadth of vision which may bring prosperity. However, this may also lead to indecision if not focused.

The nawal Tz’ikin has a naturally restless energy. It is a natural communicator. We see the birds hop from one branch to another, gathering and exchanging information. It receives different points of view which can lead it to prosperity when correctly put together. However, sometimes it spends too much time observing and communicating to bring these things together.

If this can be controlled, then Tz’ikin may bring focus with 7 representing the goal, the final aim. It may lead to the vision of how to finalise an idea. It can see how to thrive in all choices, and prosperity may come, as long as distractions can be avoided. This may be a day where you receive the final vision. This may be the final part of the puzzle which leads to prosperity for you, your family, your community and the environment.

The Number Seven

If we imagine the numbers 1 through 13 as a pyramid, the number seven would be at the top. Seven is the number of balance, it gives the ability to weigh up situations and see all points of view. While this may be very noble, it may lead to indecision.

However, it is also known as a number of death and endings, which would seem strange as it is only half way through. It is another representation of the change of state of the soul, showing half of the journey (1-6) in the mortal world and half (8-13) in the otherworld. As such it can be a great number on which to finalise or end something.

7 the final step

The sequence of numbers as they appear with each appearance of a nawal. Here we see that the sequence begins with 1 and ends with 7, giving 7 as a number of finality.

13 Tz'ikinToday is a day to ask for a vision from the ancestors to help all to thrive. Keep your eyes open and be aware of visual pointers, signs and signals marking your most fortunate direction.

This is not a day to necessarily expect abundance to just drop out of thin air in front of you, although the strength of this day does not rule that out either. This type of assistance may be a gift, but may also not lead to a long-term solution. It is more a day to receive the vision of how to bring prosperity to you, your family and your community. Whilst it might be a better day than usual to buy a lottery ticket, a more sustainable plan may be to seek guidance regarding your future vision for prosperity. True prosperity is, of course, not financial.

The energy of the number 13 represents the spirit world, including our deceased ancestors. Today it brings an energy where the nawal of the visionary combines with the number representing the spirit world. On these days, it is easier to seek their counsel through some form of divination or mediumship. However, the nawal Tz’ikin may bring you directly a vision of how to prosper, acting as the messenger between the unseen world and you.

As the trecena of Aq’ab’al comes to an end, this is the day to ask for help, verbally, and particularly from your ancestors. Use your eyes to see what they show you with regards to how to develop your concepts into a vision. You may be surprised how easily the answers come to you when you look for them today.

The Number Thirteen

The number 13 is the final number. It represents the spirit world. It is said that on Samhain, the veil between the worlds is the thinnest. However within the sacred calendar, this thinning happens every 13 days. This connection with the spirit world creates a powerful day. Both the positive and negative aspects of the day come through strongly. It is a very good day for activities such as divinations. Ceremonies on 13 days are best left to experienced Aj Q’ijab who understand how to work with that energy.

6 Tz'ikinIf you have a vision for your family, today is the day to bring it to Earth and empower it with your words. It is a balanced energy, giving rise to stable and sustainable prosperity.

The energy of nawal representing the Heart of the Sky connects with the number joining Heaven and Earth. This can bring your vision into a stable and prosperous reality.

The nawal Tz’ikin can be seen as a messenger from the Heart of the Sky. It spends its time in the air and on the ground, and in this way, it brings messages from above. When it reaches a great height, it brings the vision, of what is around us and where to proceed. As such is seen as a visionary. These visions also lead us to potential prosperity. Tz’ikin is usually seen as a fortunate energy, although sometimes it can be rather easily distracted.

Today it combines with the number representing ultimate stability. The physical plane combines with the essence of the Heart of the Sky (masculine principle) and the Heart of the Earth  (feminine principle.) It has all the supporting energies working together in one place to make things happen.

Tz’ikin can be another day of manifestation. It is particularly associated with the ability to do this through the use of the word. With the stability brought to it by the number 6, this can be seen as a day to visualise what you seek in life.
