New Video – The Trecena of Kej (31st December 2023 – 12th January 2024)

The Trecena of Kej gives us the opportunity to reconnect with the energy of the natural world, strengthening the leader within each one of us.

12 No’j / 2024 Calendar

My 2024 calendar is now available. The calendar shows the days of the Chol Q’ij, formatted onto the Gregorian calendar. This year it is available electronically as a pdf in both English and Spanish. Printed versions, in English, are available locally here in Guatemala, from Palo Santo and Lava Love Cacao in San Marcos. It is also available at the candle shop of Nana Maria Feliciana, opposite Banrural in San Juan la Laguna. See this link for details on how to get your pdf.

Google Calendar Plugin

For the more technically minded I have also created a plugin for Google calendar. This enables you to track the days of the sacred calendar on your smartphone. In this way you can ensure that your activities are aligned to the most conducive energies! I have also added a description to every day, just click on the day name. It is available for purchase here

Konojel

When I mention programs within my videos, it is because I personally know the people involved and can vouch that your donations will actually go towards helping the people for which they are intended. During the video I mention the Konojel program and their work in San Marcos la Laguna. They have turned from a basic, “let’s make sure bellies are full” program to one of much more social development. You can check out their programs and make a donation here https://konojel.org/

Odim

Within the village of San Pablo la Laguna, there is an organisation doing great work. They are called ODIM and are specialising in medical and educational services. During the pandemic restrictions, they helped feed many people, but this is in addition to their regular, long term work there. You can find out more about them through this link http://www.odimguatemala.org/donate

Popol Jay

Popol Jay is an ancient name to define the House of the Council of Elders, among the Maya of Guatemala. These were places of wisdom where sacred knowledge about medicine, the calendars, music, spiritual practice and more was kept and passed to future generations. They were all burnt down during the Conquest and subsequent Colonization periods. Today, the Q’eqchi’ Maya Council of Elders Releb’aal Saq’e has joined forces with many supporters to rebuild the Popol Jay of the North, in the lowlands of the Petén region, heart of the Maya culture of the Classic Period. The Elders have worked hard to acquire land and co-design this Center of Knowledge to share ancient wisdom with the World. To donate to the Elders of Peten to fund the Popol Jay, please use this link https://www.popoljay.org.gt/donaciones

New Video – The Trecena of Ix (18th – 30th December 2023)

The Trecena of Ix gives us a new opportunity to connect with the spirit of the Earth, to find new ways to protect her, and to find the magic within each one of us as we connect with the sacred places, the altars and shrines.

Some of you might recognise this video and others know that I am actually not back in Guatemala yet. My apologies that I am having to reuse an earlier video, the information is just as relevant this time around as it was last time. I hope that it is still useful and enjoyable for your. I actually really enjoyed the feeling I got while editing it, of being by the lake at sunrise again.

New Video – The Trecena of Imox (5th – 17th December 2023)

The trecena of Imox is a time for a new dream. It is far from something which can be brought in to place right now, but it gives the opportunity to plant the seeds for the dreams you wish to bring to fruition over the next 260 days.

New Video – The Trecena of Q’anil (22nd November – 4th December 2023)

The trecena of Q’anil can be seen as the final trecena of our current evolutionary cycle. It gives us the opportunity to plant the seeds we wish to mature as we move into the new dream of the coming cycle, and begin the final ripening which takes us up to the next level.

Nebra Sky Disk

I will be making a post and video about the Nebra Sky Disk seperately. In the meantime, I would highly recommend watching Howard Crowhurst’s presentation at Megalithomania. You can see it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqBCx9nuzGY&t=2399s For a shorter summary, you can see a UNESCO film here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEwuwroennk

New Video – The Trecena of K’at (10th – 22nd August 2023)

The trecena of K’at gives an opportunity to gather something new into our net, and plant a new seed in order to multiply.

I always make two suggestions for organisations you may wish to donate to, especially on teh day 6 Toj. The links for these are below. However, I have also been made aware of another worthy cause which is a bit more personal.

My dear friend Dolores Ratzan is still recovering from illness and in need of some support. Some of you may have met Dolores, I often send people in her direction if they would like a tour of Santiago Atitlan as I feel she brings the town and culture of Santiago truly to life. Thanks for all the kind donations made so far, the fund is a little above 50% of what is needed to help Dolores, so still a way to go. Her friend Rosemary has organised this GoFundMe page to help Dolores, you can find it here https://tinyurl.com/47aemyf8
