August is the time of the second solar zenith transit of the year here in Guatemala. Around 13th August, the sun will be directly overhead at midday, both east-west and north-south. It will then be in the south at midday, getting lower in the sky until winter solstice, before the next zenith transit on 29th April 2020 in 260 days time.
