When I first encountered Reiki it had such a profound effect on me that I knew I had to make it a big part of my life. I took my Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki 1 training in September of 1997, Reiki 2 in April of 1998, and then in February of 1999 took my Reiki Master training. I initially took the Reiki Master training with a view to completing what I had started, the last thing on my mind was actually teaching Reiki. However, I soon found that the phrase “when the student is ready the teacher appears” actually goes both ways! I was asked to teach what I knew, and so I began.
In 2005 I studied a different type of Reiki. This had come through a different lineage, an Eastern lineage. My teacher learned in Japan from one of Usui Sensei’s original students. As well as discovering a greater depth to the practice, I was encouraged to study Ki Aikido to further my understanding and feeling of the use of energy in everyday life. After all, if we only practice with our energy when we are in the healing modality, we are missing out on everything else we can do with it.
I teach all levels of Reiki using my experiences from each of these sources. I still find Reiki an invaluable tool, although I see it more as a life path rather than just a healing modality. I like to teach what I would call Reiki in daily life!
Reiki 1 and 2 courses take place over three days of three hours per day. Reiki Master takes place over seven days of three hours. For more information, please contact me.
