Here are the days of the Chol Q’ij mapped onto the Gregorian month of June 2017. We move into the midpoint of the solar year, observing the Solstice on 21st June at 04.24 UTC. This will mean that in the Americas, the Solstice will be observed late evening on 20th June. Venus will reach its maximum western elongation, that is its highest point in the morning sky on June 3rd, the day 3 K’at, 60 days after its heliacal rise on 8 K’at.
